Mabel
Stella is an amazing dog and we love having her around. Unfortunately we can't always be around and she gets lonely all by herself. Sweet Creek bred Stella's mom Lottie in the Fall of 2009 and she had a litter of 14 healthy puppies December 4th. She had 8 girls and 6 boys this time, more girls than boys! Mabel came home with us February 6th and it's taking some time for Stella to warm up to her. We'll post more pictures as she grows up and joins Stella for lots of fun adventures.

Only about 6 hours after having the litter by C-section Lottie was already taking very good care of her pups.

Lisa was holding one of them and it fell asleep leaning on her hand.

A couple of them snoozing, they are a week old here, eyes should be opening soon.

It's funny how they grow so out of proportion, next it will be the ears that grow way ahead of the rest of their body.

They are getting so big so fast!

They are so interested in people, if you stay on the outside of the puppy pen they howl until you come in to play with them!

Puppies puppies everywhere, and they have teeth now too, sharp ones!.

Here she is, home only a few hours and already cuddled into the blanket that Cristina made special for her.

The dinosaur was posted here to protect the couch and clearly he is failing to do so, he was fired after this shot was taken.

She was supposed to be the "soft personality" puppy so we would have to worry less about two females having a power struggle, I think we know what's going to happen on that front already :)

One minute the puppy is a complete bother for Stella, the next she is fun to play with!

She seemed to love her crate from the start!

Posing on the grass for Lisa.

Being this cute clearly takes a lot out of her.

Stella: "See, you pull on it here with your teeth then you can get the stuffing out"
Mabel: "ok, but what is stuffing?"

Mabel: "Oh my god, stuffing is the best thing ever!!!!"

She was trying to focus on the fake bunnies that all the big dogs were chasing, someday she'll get to chase them too!

She sure does love her Uncle Eric.

Even the puppies know how to chase the bunnies, no training necessary!

Hamming it up for the new camera.

Just being a goofball.

"You think I dig big holes now? Good thing for you I don't have thumbs!"

One of the newest puppies is meeting Mara and Mabel for the first time, soon they will be tearing up the farm!

Now that we live on the farm that Mabel was born at she gets to play with new puppies all the time!
