Dave's Counter Refinishing

A few years ago Dave cut a few inches off each edge of the huge wooden counter in his appartment but never did anything with the edges.  He is in between tennants right now and doing a few things to fix up the place so we decided to sand off the old finish, round the edges, stain it to match the hardwood flooring, and put on a few coats of new finish.  It came out great but we made a heck of a mess!

The old finish is pretty yellow and he even spilled some paint on it too

It came off pretty easy with the two orbital sanders and 60 grit paper, the dust got everywhere!

The edges were rounded with the router and we put down a coat of stain

Dave just put on the first coat of polyurethane, he's hoping to put on a few more in the next week or two
