We got to the launch at about 8am and found the lake as smooth as glass, it took us a bit to pack up.

Here we go, everyone was packed and on their way.

Trekking poles, bug spray, camera and a backcountry permit, what else do you really need?

The views are amazing and the smooth water really highlights it.

You can see some snow on one of the distant peaks, snow in August!

Petro did some fishing, he didn't actually catch anything but it sure made for a cool picture.

Mike and Petro climbed this really loose rock to jump into the seemingly bottomless water.

It was further down than they thought, lots of hang time.

The waterfall is one of our favorite spots, the water had come down quite a bit but was still quite intense.

Just hanging around the fire after a paddle and dinner, we had all of the Boundry Bay campsite to ourselves.

First thing in the morning on Saturday we were off to the Desolation Peak trail head.

The views from the trail were amazing, thankfully the weather stayed mostly clear while we were hiking.

After a couple hours we made it to the summit, we're sitting near the famous fire watch building.

We're standing at about 6200 ft. and the lake below is about 1500 ft. so we hiked 4700 ft. in just about 4 miles!

Pretty cool view behind us, Hozomeen mountain is the real gnarly one.

Here is the group from left to right, Theresa, John, Me, Lisa, Chris and Mike

We sat around on the dock for a bit before paddling back to the campsite, my legs were wrecked!

The wind picked up and the lake got a little choppy on the way back, at least it was behind us.

Packing up Sunday morning for the trip back.

It looks like Jamie and Mike have one huge paddle!

Just a couple more amazing views on the way back to the launch.

Here we are at the Duty Free, just before we got searched at the border! It was an awesome trip.
