The horizontal line is the height of the new dresser and the vertical one is the location the the stud it will be attached to.

The other side of the wall is the closet, I ran wire for an outlet and a cable jack before I started, the cable jack had to be moved though.

Cutting a hole in your wall is kinda scary, it came out pretty straight though, I added some 2x4 braces after cutting out the one that was in the way.

The box fit well in the opening and after some paint and trim it should look like it's been there for years.

There are holes in the corner of each shelf to get the cables into the closet and then back through to the wall to the TV.

After adding the trim and some primer it looks a lot cleaner.

I installed a PVC flange in the hole that goes through the wall to behind the TV so I could hide the power, video, and cable connections.

I found some desktop grommets that fit right in the cable access holes and painted the insides of them orange, they help hide the holes from the bedroom side of the cabinet.

It does use up a little bit of closet space but I think it's well worth it.

The paint was barely dry when they arrived with the dresser, we are really happy with the color, the contrast is great.
