June 29, 2008:  Hey everyone, it's been a crazy week back and an even more crazy weekend.  The weather has been in the high 90's and Stella is just getting over being real sick all week.  I finished the garage projects and a couple other things this weekend even though I could have died from the heat, it was easily 110 degrees in the attic while I was putting in the floor.  Anyway, I'm beat and it's hot, have a great week and maybe we'll chat again before the long weekend.

June 18, 2008:  Good afternoon all, glad you could make it.  Things are good here, busy as always but good.  I'm in Hawaii and have a few hours this morning to kill so I figured I'd throw up a quick update and then make my way over to Pearl Harbor for a tour and some sight seeing before taking a nap and working all night.  Yeah, you heard that right, working all night.  We finished the day work yesterday and tonight we start the cutovers to the new equipment.  If all goes well we work tonight from midnight to about 5am and the same tomorrow then we are basically finished.  The weather has been great and the local guys were awesome and came up with a canopy to put over the cabinet I've been working in all week, it's right on the roof of a parking garage so I would have burned away to dust by now if there wasn't any shade.  The first day I got here I put the Prophet together and met a guy I've talked to online for a ride on a mountain ridge not far from my hotel.  The picture above is a view from the top, it was pretty brutal, I'm not used to this heat and humidity, it was almost 90 degrees here and it was only 50 degrees when I got on the plane that morning in Seattle.  I haven't done a whole lot else other than riding down the beach and just checking the whole place out.  I intend to take a drive around the island maybe tomorrow after I get up so I'll try to get more pictures then.  This second one is out the window of my hotel room, not a bad view I guess.  So far I like it here but would like it a whole lot more if Lisa was here with me.  The next time one of us is here it won't be alone, we've never really had a vacation like that so that will have to be our first.  Saturday I may be going to the north shore with one of the Clearwire guys I'm working with and some of his friends to do some snorkling and hanging out on the beach, everyone says the beaches are much nicer there than here in Waikiki.  Have a great week and I'll try to get more pictures over the weekend

June 7, 2008:  Good evening everyone, hope you've all had a good few weeks since we've talked, as always things have been kinda nuts around here.  Lisa's work has gotten more busy than ever and the scheduling and staffing issues haven't gone away.  Things have gotten bad enough that she found a new job and gave her notice, her last day is next week.  She's real excited about the new pharmacy and can't wait to be done at Target.  The new digs at work really stink and on a week that it seems the number of projects that I'm working on has doubled it's been really hard to take.  I worked until 930pm one night, 130am the next, and even 730pm on Friday and just before I left heard the news that the new guy we hired that is supposed to be starting Monday bailed out and that we have now lost the head count.  This is the second person that's done that to us but this time they decided that we can't keep trying, we're so screwed.  Other than that drama not much is new around here, I've been working on getting everything ready for my trip to Hawaii and working on the Prophet a little.  Stella is absolutely huge now and has been coming on mountain bike rides with me so we can try to get her used to being around the bikes and on the trails.  She's doing pretty well but it's tough to get her to lead, she'd rather follow or run beside me.  Just today at the end of the ride she ran up ahead and did a great job of watching that she didn't get too far ahead of me, hopefully next time she'll remember that and keep it up.  Alice is here this weekend and has been out all day with Lisa cruising around to see which area she wants to live in when she moves here in the fall.  I need to run out and meet them for dinner so it's time to bail, Stella is completely wiped out at my feet from our ride so she probably won't even know she's alone.  Have a great week and we'll talk again soon, maybe even before my trip, probably not though :)
