June 29, 2007:  Unreal huh, two updates in the same month!  Used to be that two in a week was out of the ordinary, just call me slacker I guess.  Not a whole lot to report on our front, work and more work and some work on the house too.  I replaced the last of the sprinker heads after work the other day and ended up breaking one of the underground pipes.  I didn't realize it of course until I got it all put back together and gave it a test.  It was quite a pain to dig it back up and drain all the water and mud out of the hole before repairing the pipe.  The fix was easy and it's all back up and running, now I just have to figure out how to solve the severe water hammer when the valve opens and closes.  Lisa is working this weekend so we'll only be able to hang out a little but she's off next weekend so we're hoping to either plan a cool adventure or build the shed, it's up in the air at this point.  On Monday I got box seat tickets to the Mariner's Red Sox game from Cisco Systems through work and it was awesome, we had a great time high rollin in the box seats!  Box seats are the way to go and the game was great, the Mariner's won and then won the next two games of the series sweeping the current best team in baseball.  Alice's brother Jesse should be arriving today and we are going to another Mariner's game, should be good as the fans are pumped and the team is on a 5 game winning streak and only 5 games out of first place!  Nothing really planned for the weekend yet, I'll probably get started preparing the yard for the shed and maybe do some work on my RC project.  I made some progress on it this week and might be able to finish it up over the weekend if I spend enough time on it.  I'd like to get out and run my boat again this weekend, I have another lake to try, hopefully I don't get kicked out of there too.  I guess that's about it for me, I did some work on the House Projects page to update some of the description and add dates that the projects started.  It's becoming a pretty long list, that's for sure.  Oh, one more thing, our friends Tom and Erin and making a baby so a huge congrats to them !  Have a great weekend everyone!

June 24, 2007:  Hey again, hope things are going well for you all, things are good here.  Work has been insane for both of us lately, late nights and early mornings.  The weather has been, well, not so great I guess.  It seems to be sunny all week and rainy on the weekends.  I've been doing some research on sheds and I think I found one that will fit our needs and that will match the house well enough.  It's a kit from Lowe's and has a cedar roof and siding, just like the house.  I even got approval from the Architectural Control Committee in our neighborhood so that's a bonus.  We'll probably pick it up in July some time and put it together, I can't wait to get the lawn and yard stuff out of the garage, it will free up a bunch of space.  I already plan to make a few changes to the design to make it better cause that's how I roll.  As for projects around here I did some work on the sprinkler system and finished up the wiring in the garage.  I didn't get any pictures of the wiring but did throw together an entry for the sprinkler stuff on the house projects page.  On a completely different note, Lisa's bother Ben just graduated from college and is looking for a job, if he finds something out here he might crash with us for a while.  We should hear more on that soon.  Alice's brother Jesse and a friend of his are crashing here this Friday after spending the week hiking in Oregon before they fly out on Saturday.  We will probably go to Mariners game and just hang out, should be fun.  On the hobby front Chris, Lisa and I took the RC boat our for a quick test run early in the week and it didn't go so well.  The boat ran great but we got kicked out in like 4 minutes flat, damn stuck up people that live near Pine Lake!  I have been working on a scale project using one of my old RC trucks, should be pretty cool when it's done, this is what I've got so far.  I know it doesn't look like much but it will start to shape up soon.  Well, that's it for tonight, have a great week!

June 17, 2007:  HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!  Not a lot to say for myself other than I've been real busy at work and haven't had much time to do an update in quite a while.  From my last message you can get the idea of what I'm saying, I've been doing a bunch of work at night and will probably be doing quite a bit more in the next few weeks.  Things are cooling down a bit on the house projects, we haven't done a whole lot since I posted last.  Chris and Mike came over to give me a hand with jackhammering and removing the concrete pad that the old shed used to sit on, they seemed to have fun with it from the pictures.  The screen door for the back came in and I got it installed with some help from Chris one night after work.  We've had a few really warm days and we were able to have dinner out on the deck, the new door makes it much easier to come in and out and some fresh air coming in that corner of the kitchen isn't so bad either.  We were going to do the bamboo garden landscaping work this summer but the more we planned it out the larger of a project it became.  So for this year it's going to be put on hold and we are going to concentrate on a couple other smaller projects like some wiring in the garage and building a small shed on the other side of the house.  We have been spending a little more time downtown lately, we love going to the city.  We went a week ago to pick up a few presents for our folks, we totally missed Mother's Day and some birthdays, we're horrible children, we know.  Better late than never is what I say.  Of course each time we go to the city we have to go to Dick's for burgers and fries, our favorite in the whole wide world as Lisa says.  I did get some lights installed in the garage this weekend and I also got the outlets I installed a couple months ago powered up.  I've been working on my RC boat and trucks and hope to get the boat out for a test run early this week.  The work bench is a great place to set up the boat and wrench on it and now I can plug in the chargers I need to get them up and running.  Other than all that there really isn't anything new on our front.  Hopefully we'll talk again soon.
