March 18, 2004: This is the entrance to our neighborhood, to be honest, it gets worse as you get closer to our house. It's awesome to be back to the world of the living again. Days are crazy busy but at least that makes the time fly by. It's not so cool to have all the people around the office but I can learn a lot more during the day. We had a week or so of early spring here, got to ride my bike a little but before we got used to the warmer weather, 8 inches of snow to deal with, great. I picked up the Thule racks for the new Element to carry the kayaks and the bikes, now we need some good weather so I can put them on the roof and start to work off all the Wendy's I've been eating. Lisa is halfway though finals week and doing awesome as usual, she is getting awesome grades and I think she even slept last night! We are both looking forward to her break next week, we will finally get to spend some time together. I've added a few pictures of the dogs, check them out and keep in touch.
March 4, 2004: So tonight is my last night on this shift, they offered me the day position, same schedule, just days. I don't intend to be here for all that much longer, I can feel it, something is going to happen for me soon. Lisa is out straight to say the least, she has an exam today and tomorrow, none next week, but 5 the week after. We each got a new present from the State of MA today, Excise Tax bills for our cars, yeaaaahhhh!!!! This damn state, we have to pay just about $3 per day to own our two vehicles. Yup, a tax to OWN a car! The best part is that I got two bills! One for the Element I drive, and one for the Element the dealer replaced. So according to the state of MA, I own two 2003 Honda Elements with different VIN numbers and the same license plate, so lucky me gets to go down to City Hall and spend half an hour trying to explain to some damn Red Sox fan that I don't have two vehicles with the same plate number. I'm telling you, the truck is going to be packed before we go to Lisa's graduation! She said we need to visit Boston a lot while we're here because after we leave, we are NEVER coming back!
March 1, 2004: It's been a couple weeks since I updated this, not much new. Lisa has been out straight with school, she has 3 exams this week, none the week after, and 5 the week after that. With our schedules I can't remember the last time we slept beside each other. Another person left the place I work, that makes 5 since I started in late October, this time I might end up taking his place on the day crew though. I'm not holding my breath for it but it sure would be nice to not work nights anymore. The money is still very bad and the work isn't much better so I will keep looking for something new, days would be nice until I find it though. The weather seems to be starting to break, I actually saw some sun light the other morning, maybe summer is coming after all. Hopefully by this time next week I won't be here at work, I will be home sleeping. I had a domain name registered and forwarded to this page today so you can use http://jayandlisa.org to get here now, stay in touch as always.
