February 24, 2009: Good evening everyone, hope you've had a good day. For us it's just more of the same, work work and more work. The rest of my trip went well and after being gone for
February 9, 2009: Hey again, sorry it's been so long but things have been south of insane here. I'm not talking the normal insane either, far worse than that. I have been working at least
two and sometimes three overnight maintenance windows at work plus working all week. That includes flying to Philly to do the same for a week and then being redirected to Virginia for a week of meetings before I could fly
home. I'm actually in Virginia now and will be until the end of the week. Right when I left for my two week trip Lisa's pharmacy moved into their new space and switched over to their new computer system so she's been
working crazy hours to try to get things figured out there. I guess it's keeping us from sitting still, that's for sure. Lisa took Stella to her first lure coursing practice this weekend and it sounds like she did great,
hopefully we can get another in before her first trial at the end of the month so she can really get it figured out. Anyway, I really need to get going but wanted to let you all know that we're still here. Have a great
week and I'll try to catch you up more over the weekend.
almost two weeks it sure was nice to be home. Lisa has been working so much overtime since the pharmacy converted to the new company that we've barely seen each other. Even tonight she has already worked an extra two
hours and I haven't heard from her yet. I'll try to catch you up on some things that have happened since we spoke last but I'm sure I'll miss a few things. Stella did well at her first lure coursing practice but wasn't
able to make it to the first trial of the season this past weekend. It seems that she could use another practice before she goes for her junior coursing certification, she was easily distracted last time. We had her
brother Leroy for most of last week while Isabela and Eric flew back east to breed on of their dogs. Stella and Leroy had lots of fun and having him around really proved how much we want another one. They also bred Stella's mom Lottie so if both breedings take they will have two litters coming in about six weeks which means we'll have a puppy in another eight after that. As you can see in the picture to the left, my truck got a little
crunched. A friend of Lisa's from high school that lives in Alaska was in Seattle for the weekend and they got together to do some shopping and catch up. On her way into Seattle Saturday morning got got in a fender
bender. Nobody got hurt and we've already dropped it off to the body shop to get fixed. I'm driving a sweet pale yellow PT Cruiser in the meantime, frankly it's kind of embarrassing but I guess it's better than nothing. If the weather clears up again I'll be riding the scooter again so I don't have to bother with the PT Loser. Stella and I did a little mountain biking last week when the weather was abnormally warm and dry and
she did really well, far better than the last time we went. Kyle even brought his dog along and they did really well together, now we can ride more often and bring them along. I found out last week that I was chosen as
one of the yearly "Clearly the Best" achievers. I know that doesn't sound all that exciting but the fact that the prize for this honor is a 5 day all expenses paid trip to Maui for both Lisa and I makes it really awesome
news! The trip is at the beginning of April and we're going to stay there for a few extra days to make a real vacation of it, we could really use it. Well, Lisa got just home and I haven't had dinner yet so I'm signing
off for now, have a great week.
